About Sarah

My
Story
I was first introduced to yoga in a high school PE class, and I knew instantly it was for me. I didn’t realize it at the time, but that class would spark a relationship that would carry me through nearly every season of life.
Over the years, as I moved internationally, grew professionally, got married, became a mother, and navigated life’s many twists and turns, yoga remained one of my few true constants. It’s where I’ve returned again and again—finding calm in chaos, peace in discomfort, and a quiet joy I now love sharing with others.
Since completing my 200-hour certification through YogaWorks in 2017, I’ve had the privilege of teaching a wide range of students across NYC, South Africa, Connecticut, and now here in the Carolinas.
My Experience
My experience includes working with one-on-one clients, leading group classes in studios and corporate offices, guiding seniors and kids, and offering virtual sessions to students around the country.
I specialize in helping beginners feel at ease on the mat, and I love working with those who are curious, cautious, or simply unsure where to begin. I also work closely with adults 55+ who are looking to strengthen their bodies, protect their joints, and move through life with more comfort and confidence.
My Teaching Style
My teaching is rooted in safe alignment, intentional movement, and meditation techniques that support both body and mind. I believe yoga should be accessible, sustainable, and deeply nourishing—not just another workout. I aim to create a space that feels welcoming, grounded, and tailored to your needs.
Life Beyond Yoga
When I’m not teaching yoga, I’m helping clients buy and sell homes as a real estate agent in the Charlotte area. At home, life is full and lively—my husband, Connell Cruise, a professional musician, and I are raising three young kids who keep us on our toes and bring endless joy (and a little chaos) to our everyday.
Yoga is my anchor—and I’m passionate about helping others discover what this practice can mean in their own lives. Whether you’re brand new to yoga or looking to reconnect with your practice, I’d love to work with you.
